President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week annual leave, with London, United Kingdom, as his first destination.
The President's departure was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, President Tinubu left Abuja on Sunday for the vacation, which is part of his annual leave.
Onanuga said the President is expected to return to Nigeria immediately after the vacation to join what he described as the hectic campaign ahead of the January 2027 general election.
Speaking shortly before the President's departure, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, said the three-week holiday is well deserved following months of intense engagement on state matters.
Dare assured Nigerians that the President would remain fully briefed and involved in key national decisions throughout the vacation.
The statement added that President Tinubu would return home after the working vacation to participate in preparations for the 2027 election.
