Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes his team can improve on last season's performance after the Gunners maintained their perfect start to the Premier League campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Arsenal fell behind early when Morgan Rogers put Chelsea ahead, but the hosts responded strongly as Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard scored either side of half-time to complete the comeback and secure all three points.

Speaking after the match, Arteta described Arsenal's performance as exceptional and said the victory demonstrated the level his team could reach this season.

He, however, stressed that achieving that target would require the players to maintain their hunger, humility and commitment to continuous improvement.

Arteta also praised Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for his improved form, saying the midfielder is currently playing with greater fitness and confidence.

The victory over Chelsea keeps Arsenal's perfect Premier League record intact and strengthens Arteta's belief that his side has the quality and potential to achieve more this season.
