Sharon Adeleke, sister of Nigerian singer Davido and daughter of billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke, says children from wealthy families, popularly referred to as nepo babies, do not have unrestricted access to cash as many people assume.

Speaking on a show, Sharon said children of millionaires and billionaires may have more resources than the average person, but they are often expected to operate within budgets.

She explained that wealthy parents may provide their children with education, land and properties, but the beneficiaries are expected to make productive use of those assets and build their own sources of income.

Sharon also revealed that she holds weekly financial meetings with Davido to track his spending. She said she has advised the singer to reduce spending on acquiring more luxury cars.

Davido recently said during a livestream with streamer Davrel that he paid 11 million dollars for a custom-made Bugatti, which he expects to be delivered to Nigeria.
