The Federal Government, in partnership with the Republic of Korea and the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, has commenced construction of the 12-million-dollar Abuja Centre for Entrepreneurship, ACE.

The facility is designed to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses and create employment opportunities for young Nigerians.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, in Abuja, marking the commencement of physical construction of the project.

Representing Vice President Kashim Shettima at the event, his Special Adviser on General Duties, Aliyu Umar, said the centre would help address some of the support gaps responsible for the failure of promising business ideas.

Shettima said many potentially successful ideas are abandoned because their originators lack access to the support needed to develop them into sustainable businesses.
