A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, is dead.
Orbih, who was an ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, reportedly died on Monday, August 31, 2026.
His family announced his death in a statement signed by Francis Orbih, saying the family received the news with profound sadness but remained in total submission to the will of God.
The late PDP chieftain is survived by his wife, Florence Orbih, his children, Winifred Orbih and Mildred Orbih, as well as his siblings and other members of the extended family.
The family has asked relatives, friends and well wishers to remember them in their prayers as they mourn the loss. Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced later.
