Residents of Abuja have expressed concern over the rising cost of petrol, saying the increase is putting additional strain on household budgets and making it more difficult to meet everyday living expenses.

Some residents who spoke during a vox pop conducted by Montage 99.7 FM said commercial drivers are struggling to cope with the increasing cost of fuel and vehicle maintenance.

According to them, some motorists now spend a significant portion of their daily earnings on fuel and repairs, leaving them with little or nothing to take home to support their families.

They also expressed concern over the disparity in petrol prices across different locations, noting that the product currently sells for as much as one thousand, four hundred and fifty naira per litre in some areas.

They urged Nigerians to continue to seek divine intervention, saying the prevailing economic hardship has left many citizens with limited options.
