Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has dismissed claims that she is suffering from arthritis, following a video of her dancing that surfaced online.

Edochie reacted to comments from critics who linked her movements and active lifestyle to her health, insisting that she remains strong, energetic and active.

In a post on her social media handle, the actress questioned whether those making the claims could see their mothers being as active and energetic as she is.

Edochie said she had been travelling, moving around and standing for hours while promoting her movie. She also accused some of her critics of being jealous because she is currently trending and receiving attention online.

The actress further condemned social media bullying, warning that persistent attacks could push some people into depression. Edochie said she would not allow her critics to stop her from using social media or sharing updates with her followers.
