Okoye’s Error Hands Torino Victory as Udinese Suffer Fourth Straight Defeat

Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye made an error as Udinese suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, losing two-one to Torino in the Italian Serie A. Okoye’s mistake allowed substitute Sandro Kulenovic to score the winning goal in the 67th minute, after Udinese had fought back to level the encounter. Torino opened the scoring through Daniel Bragança in the 36th minute, but Jurgen Ekkelenkamp equalised for Udinese seven minutes later. However, Okoye’s attempted clearance resulted in a collision with teammate Nicolo Bertola, leaving Kulenovic with an open goal to restore Torino’s lead. Udinese head coach Kosta Runjaic likened the goalkeeper’s error to an earlier mistake that contributed to the team’s defeat against Cagliari before the international break. Runjaic also accepted responsibility for the team’s poor run of results, while expressing concern over their inability to create enough scoring opportunities. The coach further noted that Torino’s opening goal came from a set piece as Udinese continued their disappointing run in the Italian top flight.
