Vice President Kashim Shettima says President Bola Tinubu’s economic decisions have saved Nigeria from a deeper crisis that could have resulted from delaying critical reforms. Shettima stated this while addressing leaders and members of the City Boy Movement at the State House Conference Hall in Abuja. The Vice President acknowledged the economic hardship Nigerians have faced, stressing that their sacrifices must translate into improved livelihoods, greater opportunities and better living conditions. He said the Tinubu administration had demonstrated the courage to tackle the country’s structural economic challenges rather than postpone difficult decisions. According to Shettima, the President’s courage has drawn Nigeria back from the brink of an economic crisis that continued delays in implementing necessary reforms could have made it inevitable. He added that Tinubu understood the consequences of postponing critical economic measures. The Vice President, however, acknowledged the hardship associated with implementing the reforms, noting the need for Nigerians’ sacrifices to yield tangible benefits.
