Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the employment of more than 1,000 medical and allied health science students undergoing training in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria. The governor’s Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement today. According to the statement, 294 medical students have been employed on Grade Level 07/2, while 801 allied health science students were employed on Grade Level 05/2. The employment, the government said, is intended to support the students financially, encourage them to pursue their studies with greater commitment and prepare them for service in government-owned health facilities after graduation.
