New Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho says he is on a mission to build the right culture at the club as he begins his second spell in charge.

The Portuguese coach was at the club's training ground on Friday supervising preparations ahead of pre-season, following his appointment in June as successor to Alvaro Arbeloa.

Mourinho returns to Real Madrid after the club went without a major trophy in the last two seasons, with his appointment seen as an effort by President Florentino Perez to restore discipline and stability within the team.

He said his focus is on improving the players, coaching staff and overall working environment at the club.

The Portuguese coach said his priority is to establish a culture built on hard work, responsibility and ambition, while emphasising the honour and commitment that comes with representing Real Madrid.

He added that his main objective is to help everyone at the club become better rather than focusing only on personal achievements.
