The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has directed Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs to fully comply with club licensing regulations ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.

The directive followed the NFF Executive Committee meeting in Asaba, Delta State, where the federation welcomed the National Sports Commission's commitment to support the strict enforcement of the licensing framework and prevent any attempt to circumvent the regulations.

The renewed enforcement drive comes as the National Sports Commission intensifies reforms aimed at improving the professionalism of the domestic league.
