Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the last World Cup of his career.

Speaking ahead of Portugal's Round of 16 match against Spain, the 41-year-old said he is focused on enjoying the tournament and has no regrets about his career, believing he has given everything to football.

Ronaldo said he continues to play out of passion rather than a need to prove himself. He has already scored three goals in the tournament, including becoming the first player to score in six different FIFA World Cups.
