The highly anticipated all-British heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been contractually agreed and will go ahead, according to Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Hearn's assurance comes days after Fury suggested that the long-awaited fight was unlikely to happen. Speaking with newsmen on Sunday, Hearn said the contract had been signed and only the date and venue are yet to be finalised.

The major issue still under discussion is the location of the bout. While the fight was initially expected to take place in the United Kingdom in November, Saudi organisers Sela are pushing for a venue in the United States, with Madison Square Garden in New York reportedly among the options. Hearn said Joshua's camp would prefer the bout to remain in Britain but could consider moving it to the United States if suitable terms are agreed.
