Afrobeats superstar Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, says he is preparing to expand his career into acting while strengthening his presence in the film industry as a movie producer. The award-winning singer shared the plans during an interview with Vibe Q, describing filmmaking as the next step in his creative journey beyond music.

David Adeleke said he believes creativity is constantly evolving and that musicians must continue to innovate to remain relevant, just as technology companies regularly introduce new products. He explained that new sounds, fresh ideas and different ways of telling stories are essential to staying connected with audiences.

The singer also revealed that he is already working on two film projects this year as an executive producer in collaboration with music video director Dammy Twitch. In addition, Davido disclosed that a documentary is in production, describing it as a major project that will further broaden his involvement in the entertainment industry.
