The African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) has announced the nominees for its 2026 edition, with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido emerging as the most nominated artist after securing five nominations.

The announcement marks the return of the awards after a two-year break, with organisers promising a bigger and more innovative celebration of African music.

AFRIMMA founder Anderson Obiagwu, speaking in an Instagram video today, said the hiatus was necessary to reposition the event and deliver an enhanced experience for fans worldwide.

Obiagwu also revealed that the 2026 edition will feature the inaugural AFRIMMA Music Festival in Dallas, Texas. The festival will include live performances, food and fashion exhibitions, cultural displays, and entertainment from across Africa.
