Nollywood actress Cynthia Anijekwu has appealed to Nigerians for financial support after revealing that she is battling cancer for the second time.
In a video circulating on social media, Anijekwu said she was first diagnosed with the disease in 2023 and underwent surgery and chemotherapy, with the treatment initially bringing the condition under control.
Anijekwu said the cancer later returned and has spread to her bones, making her condition more severe and requiring additional treatment, including radiation therapy and another surgery, explaining that recent medical examinations confirmed the spread of the disease, increasing the complexity of her care.
The actress said her treatment now costs about ₦600,000 every month and appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to help her continue with the medical care.
