Veteran Nigerian actor and musician Harry B Anyanwu has appealed to Nollywood practitioners and members of the public to support veteran actress Maureen Okpoko, who is reportedly battling vision loss.

In a video shared on social media today, Anyanwu revealed that Okpoko has been blind for several years and requires financial assistance to access medical treatment that could help restore her sight.

Speaking from Enugu State, where he visited the actress, Anyanwu urged colleagues in the Nigerian film industry to rally around her during this difficult period. He also appealed to actors, actresses, and well-meaning Nigerians to contribute towards the veteran actress's medical care, expressing optimism that timely intervention could improve her condition.
