The Anambra State Government has announced a movement restriction across the state on Saturday, July 4, from 6:00am to 11:00am, to support a coordinated waste evacuation and desilting exercise.

Commissioners for Information and Environment said the exercise targets blocked drainage channels and uncontrolled sand mining, both identified as major contributors to flooding and erosion.

New building projects will now be required to include mandatory catch pits for runoff management under updated state regulations.
