FCT begins tree-planting drive along expressway corridors

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has launched a rainy-season tree-planting campaign targeting major expressway corridors, with a goal of 50,000 seedlings planted by September.
Officials say the initiative is part of a broader green-belt strategy to reduce dust pollution and stabilise erosion-prone embankments around the city.
Community groups and schools have been enlisted to support maintenance of newly planted areas.
