River Usuma dredging project enters second phase
The Federal Capital Territory Water Board has commenced the second phase of dredging works on the River Usuma catchment area, aimed at boosting raw water capacity into the city's treatment system.
Engineers project the dredging will improve water supply capacity to central districts by up to 30% once completed.
The project is expected to run through the remainder of the rainy season, with minimal disruption to existing supply lines.
