The FCT Health Board has launched a free malaria screening and prevention campaign across six area councils, targeting an estimated 500,000 residents during the rainy season.

Mobile clinics will distribute treated bed nets and provide rapid diagnostic testing at designated community centres through the end of the wet season.

Officials say the campaign is part of a broader push to reduce malaria-related hospital admissions, which typically spike between June and September.
