Abia State Governor Alex Otti has welcomed a proposed 145 million dollar investment to establish a solar manufacturing plant in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.

He described the project as a major step towards expanding the state's industrial base and renewable energy sector. The governor received the investors at the Government House in Umuahia, where they confirmed that the project had reached the Final Investment Decision stage.

The Abia State Government confirmed that it has already provided land for the project and pledged continued support to ensure its successful implementation. Construction of the solar manufacturing plant is expected to commence before the end of September under a public-private partnership with the Abia State Government.
