The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, and the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, are set to headline the seventh Africa Emerging Markets Forum in Abuja on July 29–30.

Hosted by the Central Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with the Emerging Markets Forum and the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa, the event will bring together government officials, economists, business executives, development partners, and academics to discuss strategies for strengthening African economies amid increasing global uncertainty.

With the theme "Building Resilience Amidst Geoeconomic Uncertainties," the forum will focus on how African countries can respond to evolving global trade patterns, shifting investment flows, and geopolitical challenges. A key highlight will be a fireside discussion between Cardoso and Okonjo-Iweala, where they are expected to examine policy reforms, regional integration, and long-term strategies for building more resilient and competitive African economies.
