FAAC allocates ₦2.55 trillion to federal, state, local governments

The Federation Account Allocation Committee has shared 2.550 trillion naira in revenue generated in June 2026 among the Federal Government, the 36 states and the 774 local government councils.
The latest allocation is 250 billion naira higher than the amount distributed for the previous month, representing an increase of 10.9 per cent and the highest revenue ever shared from the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
The increase was driven by stronger collections from Companies Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty, petroleum royalties, gas flaring, rental income, Minimum Operating Revenue, Value Added Tax, import duties and Common External Tariff levies.
The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation says the revenue distribution was approved during the July 2026 meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee held in Abuja.
