FG savings bond offers record 15.716% returns as July subscription opens

The Debt Management Office has opened the July 2026 Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond subscription, offering investors annual returns of up to 15.716%.
The latest offer represents the highest interest rate recorded for the savings bond since the beginning of the year and provides Nigerians with access to government-backed investment opportunities. The subscription window runs from July 6 to July 10, 2026, with settlement scheduled for July 15.
The DMO said the bond issuance is part of efforts to expand secure investment options, encourage savings and promote financial inclusion, while highlighting the safety and liquidity of the instrument. The July offer features a two-year bond maturing on July 15, 2028, with an annual interest rate of 14.716%, and a three-year bond due on July 15, 2029, offering 15.716% yearly returns.
The bonds are priced at ₦1,000 per unit, with a minimum subscription of ₦5,000 and a maximum of ₦50 million. Investors will receive interest payments quarterly, while the principal amount will be repaid at maturity.
