President Bola Tinubu has announced that Nigeria will strengthen collaboration with other African countries to expand intra-African trade, promote value addition across the continent and position Africa to compete more effectively in the global economy through digital commerce.

The President welcomed African policymakers, innovators, investors, entrepreneurs and private sector leaders to Lagos for the 2026 African Continental Free Trade Area Digital Trade Forum.

He said the future of commerce across the continent depends on greater digital integration and deeper economic cooperation among African nations, urging member states to accelerate implementation of the AfCFTA digital trade protocol.
