NMDPRA seals two Ogun petrol stations for under-dispensing petroleum products

The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has sealed two petrol stations in Ogun State for under-dispensing petroleum products and violating provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act.
Leading the enforcement exercise in the Ajute/Ajuwon area, the Head of Distribution Systems, Storage and Retailing Infrastructure, Olufemi Adebowale, said the action followed repeated breaches of regulatory requirements and was aimed at protecting consumers from unfair practices.
According to him, the affected stations were found to have consistently under-dispensed fuel, illegally removed official seals placed on their facilities, and resumed operations without the approval of the regulatory authority. He said the stations would remain shut until they comply with all regulatory conditions, including the payment of applicable penalties.
