Uganda Mourns National Footballer David Owori Killed in Robbery Attack

Ugandans are mourning the death of national footballer David Owori, who died at the age of 27 after being attacked by suspected robbers near his home in the capital, Kampala.
Police said Owori was fatally assaulted after resisting an attempt to steal his mobile phone and other personal belongings, sparking widespread grief and renewed concern over violent crime in the country.
David Owori represented Uganda's national football team, the Cranes. In a statement, his club, SC Villa described his death as a huge loss to the club, its players and the wider football community.
Police have launched investigations into the incident as tributes continue to pour in for the late footballer from across Uganda's sporting community.
