A new public-private partnership will sponsor 5,000 girls pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects across secondary and tertiary institutions.

The scheme, backed by a coalition of telecom and finance sector partners, includes tuition support, mentorship pairing, and laptop provisioning for beneficiaries.

Applications open next month through participating state ministries of education.
