The Universal Basic Education Commission has announced a ₦120 billion intervention fund aimed at improving infrastructure and teacher quality in underserved states.

The fund will prioritise classroom construction, provision of instructional materials, and a nationwide teacher retraining programme in literacy and numeracy.

State universal basic education boards are to submit implementation plans before disbursement begins next quarter.
