The Federal Government has revealed that the National Youth Service Corps will replace its traditional khaki uniform with Adire fabric as part of approved reforms aimed at promoting local production.

Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande said the new uniform will be produced locally, spotlighting Nigeria's textile and Adire industries in states including Ogun and Kwara.

The Minister added that prospective corps members would increasingly be posted to regions where they studied and are more familiar with the environment, particularly areas facing security challenges.
