Osun SSG Released After Police Detention Following Residence Raid

The Secretary to the Osun State Government, Teslim Igbalaiye, has been released by the Osun State Police Command after being detained following a raid on his residence in Osogbo.
His release was announced by Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, which is leading the re-election campaign of Governor Ademola Adeleke. Abiodun Ojelabi, spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, also confirmed the development.
Igbalaiye was arrested on Wednesday alongside five others after police raided his residence. According to Abiodun Ojelabi, one of those arrested, Oladele Abiodun, was on the police watchlist in connection with alleged criminal offences. The police also reported recovering N4.81 million in cash, two Permanent Voter Cards, a voter register, a Dynabook laptop, a photocopy machine and a printer from the residence.
The other individuals arrested during the operation were identified as Akande Taiwo, Adeyemo Lukman, Olaoye Muftau and Aderemi Musliu. While Teslim Igbalaiye has regained his freedom, the Osun State Police Command has not announced whether the remaining suspects have also been released or if further investigations are continuing.
