Reps direct IGP to produce PFIPC DG Adeyemi within 48 hours

The House of Representatives Committee investigating the activities of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council has directed the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, to produce the organisation's self-acclaimed Director-General, Adeyemi Adeniyi, before it within 48 hours.
The directive was issued today during the committee's resumed investigative hearing at the National Assembly in Abuja. Representing the IGP, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bashir Abdullahi was instructed to ensure Adeyemi appears before the committee by noon on Wednesday to assist lawmakers in their investigation.
The committee is probing how the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, which lawmakers say was not legally established, allegedly secured office space at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja and received a ₦1.32bn allocation in the 2026 Appropriation Act. Committee Chairman Yusuf Gagdi said Adeyemi's appearance is necessary because of the seriousness of the allegations and the institutions involved.
