Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District, has urged President Bola Tinubu to engage Nigerians more frequently through direct public addresses instead of relying on presidential aides and spokespersons.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, Ndume said Nigerians need to hear directly from their leader, particularly at a time of economic and security challenges.

According to the senator, he advised President Tinubu to increase his direct communication with citizens, a suggestion the President reportedly acknowledged and promised to consider.
