The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the promotion of 3,592 civil servants following the successful completion of the 2025 promotion exercise conducted by the FCT Civil Service Commission.

The development was announced today by the Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, in a statement released through the minister's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka. The promotion forms part of activities marking the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu's administration and reflects the FCT Administration's commitment to improving workers' welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The commission noted that the FCT recently completed the commissioning and flag-off of more than 30 infrastructure projects between June 8 and July 17, 2026, to commemorate the President's third year in office. Ezeh explained that the promotion exercise was conducted in phases, with senior officers sitting for examinations between July 1 and July 3, and junior officers examined on July 10.
