The Zamfara State Government has signed Executive Orders establishing an integrated framework for education financing, school protection, quality assurance, health and security across the state.

Governor Dauda Lawal signed the orders during a meeting with education stakeholders at the Government House in Gusau, where he also launched the distribution of national curricula to public schools.

A statement by the governor's spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the reforms are aimed at improving school governance and operations, strengthening school feeding and student welfare, enhancing transportation safety and implementing safe school measures. The framework also covers unified examinations, school health services, merit-based appointments for school leaders, inclusive education and the promotion of STEM, technical and vocational education, as well as digital learning.

Governor Lawal said the reforms are designed to improve accountability, protect educational resources, enhance financing, raise learning standards and prepare students for future challenges.
