INEC Begins Distribution of Sensitive Materials for Osun Governorship Election After SDP Ballot Drama

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 30 Local Government Areas of Osun State ahead of Saturday's governorship election.
The exercise, supervised by the Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, began on Thursday night from the Central Bank of Nigeria premises in Osogbo.
The distribution was delayed following a Federal High Court judgment ordering INEC to include the Social Democratic Party, SDP, on the ballot. INEC subsequently printed additional ballot papers and result sheets to accommodate the party.
