The Rivers State Government has dismissed reports of a fresh disagreement between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly over the 2026 Appropriation Bill.

Governor Fubara's Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, said the reports were misleading and did not reflect the relationship between the executive and legislative arms.

Nzeshi explained that the 2026 budget proposal is currently undergoing the normal legislative process after it was presented to the House. He expressed confidence that the lawmakers would complete their deliberations and pass the Appropriation Bill.
