President Bola Tinubu has urged Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke not to stigmatise or shame his opponents following his victory in the recently concluded governorship election.

Receiving Adeleke at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, President Tinubu reminded him that he had not conquered anyone but had simply won an election, stressing that the people of Osun State had chosen him to govern.

The President said that no individual should be made a victim because of political differences, adding that Adeleke had a responsibility to build bridges and create a network of unity for the benefit of future generations.

He also encouraged Adeleke to demonstrate gratitude to the people of Osun State through his actions and leadership rather than merely celebrating his electoral victory.
