President Bola Tinubu says his administration will revive Nigeria's moribund refineries but insists that their success will be measured by productivity and profitability, rather than mere operations.

President Tinubu spoke on Thursday when he received the President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, Salimon Oladiti, and other union members at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The President said efforts are underway to reset and restructure the economy, stressing that the return of the refineries to operation must deliver value to the country.
