The Nigerian Bar Association has renewed calls for judicial reform, citing a growing backlog of cases across federal and state courts.

Proposals presented at a recent stakeholders' forum include a unified digital case-tracking platform, expanded use of virtual hearings, and pilot night courts for minor offences.

Judicial officers say funding constraints remain the biggest obstacle to full implementation of the proposed reforms.
