The Defence Headquarters has raised the alarm over an attempted breach of its official X account. The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, in a statement issued to the press said the incident had been detected and is being treated as a cybersecurity matter.

According to him, appropriate technical measures have been activated to secure the account and prevent further unauthorised access.

He consequently advised the public to disregard any suspicious, unauthorised or misleading content that might be posted from the account during the period.
