The Ebonyi State Government has begun arrangements to repatriate, rehabilitate and reintegrate children from the state who were rescued during a recent anti-child exploitation operation in Anambra State.

Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Felicia Nwamkpuma, said the intervention followed notification from her Anambra counterpart after a rescue operation in the Otolo area of Nnewi North.

The children will be safely returned to Ebonyi, rehabilitated, enrolled in skills acquisition programmes and reunited with their families, as the state reaffirms a zero-tolerance policy on child trafficking, labour and abuse.
