The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed September 25, 2026, as the final deadline for payment of Hajj deposits and registration for the 2027 pilgrimage, warning that no intending pilgrim will be allocated a seat after the closing date.

The Director-General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, announced the deadline in a statement issued today by the board's Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi. Prospective pilgrims are required to pay a deposit of ₦8 million and complete all registration procedures before the deadline to secure a place for the 2027 Hajj.

Ibrahim-Matawalle urged intending pilgrims not to wait until the last minute, stressing that the board would not extend the registration period or allocate Hajj slots to anyone who failed to meet the deadline.
