Two people have died in a road crash at Leme along the Abeokuta-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps attributed the crash to speeding. Public Relations Officer of the command, Afolabi Odunsin, said the incident involved a Lexus car and a TVS motorcycle.

Odunsin said six adult males were involved in the crash, adding that two lives were lost, while the remaining occupants escaped without injuries. He added that FRSC rescue personnel responded within minutes of receiving the distress call, evacuated the victims, and deposited the bodies at the State Hospital, Ijaye Mortuary.

The FRSC spokesperson said Sector Commander Oludare Ogunjobi has sympathised with the families of the deceased and urged motorists and motorcyclists to obey speed limits and avoid dangerous driving.
