The Federal Government has warned that the diversion of healthcare resources could cost lives and undermine efforts to improve health services nationwide, declaring zero tolerance for corruption in the sector.

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Pate, gave the warning in Abuja during the inauguration of a Joint Task Team involving the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

Pate said the Joint Task Team was established to identify institutional vulnerabilities, strengthen preventive controls and improve oversight across the health sector.
